The Working Families Credit (ESSB 6809), which will provide tax relief to lower income working families in Washington, is a state version of the successful poverty-fighting program, the federal Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). This bill was signed by the Governor on April 1st and is a great victory for working families in every legislative district across the state. Read the press release and this great op-ed by Senator Lisa Brown for more information on the Working Families Credit.

It's been a momentous year for Washington families. Check out our Session Wrap-Up for more Poverty Action legislative victories.
